Support our Mission

Why is My Gift Important?

Charitable gifts help our community to be stronger financially, more affordable, and more responsive to the needs of our residents.  Being a not-for-profit organization allows the Loomis Communities to concentrate on residents first, reinvesting all of our resources back into what's most important.

A Tradition of Giving

From the very beginning in 1902, it was the vision of founder, Elvira Whiting Ball, that many gifts from individuals would build a home, beautiful within and without, and dedicated to the comfort and happiness of men and women who would come to be residents.  In 1911 William Loomis donated two acres of land to build the first Loomis House. From that time to the present, The Loomis Communities has benefited from the generosity of individuals and groups that support our mission.

What Type of Gift is Best for Me and for The Loomis Communities?

Whether it is through a memorial donation to remember a loved one, an annual gift that supports operations, or a planned gift to build the endowment, current and future residents benefit from your support!

Gifts in Memory or Honor may be made in memory or a loved one or in honor of a special birthday or event.

Annual Giving providea support for the current operating budget and allows The Loomis Communities to be responsive to immediate and unexpected needs.

Spring Reception Gifts allow us to highlight our business partners, honor our dedicated volunteers and spend time with old friends and new from each of our communities.

Bequests, Planned Gifts and Income-Producing Gifts, to benefit the the endowment insure The Loomis Communities long term financial stability, moderate the fee increases paid by residents, and support resident programs.

May I Designate My Gift?

Yes, you may designate a specific use for your gift by community and/or purpose.  For example:  Applewood, Loomis House, the Loomis House Nursing Center, Loomis Village or Reeds Landing.  In addition, there are friendship funds, wellness programs or equipment, and cultural programs at each of our communities.
